{"id":667,"date":"2013-09-16T06:59:51","date_gmt":"2013-09-16T10:59:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goddessgrub.com\/blog\/?p=667"},"modified":"2013-09-19T14:53:04","modified_gmt":"2013-09-19T18:53:04","slug":"convection-oven","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goddessgrub.com\/blog\/convection-oven\/","title":{"rendered":"I bought my first convection oven"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u00a0bought an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.walmart.com\/ip\/Oster-Designed-For-Life-Extra-Large-Convection-Countertop-Oven\/13729291\">Oster convection oven<\/a> and tried it for the first time the other day. \u00a0I was going to roast some 1&#8243; x 2&#8243; chunks of eggplant, onion, red pepper and zucchini. \u00a0In a regular over, it would take about 60-80 minutes at 400 degrees. \u00a0I was told to use a lower temp for a shorter period, so I experimented. \u00a0First I hit the BAKE button for 20 minutes at 375. Not much seemed to happen. Then I discovered the TURBO\/CONVECTION button and did that at 375 for 35 minutes more.
