Then I can easily carry road food from home, or stop at a regular market and get ice and snacks while I’m out, especially if it’s an unexpected trip. If I’m going to be on the road for more than 8 hours, I pack a snack bag. I’ve even in a pinch just gone to Subway and gotten a turkey or veggie sub with no mayo or cheese. Hard to ask for like that. But good once I’m on the road with it in my hand, and under 20 grams of fat. A much better choice than an 80gr of fat burger or fried chicken, fast food sandwich or burrito.

The ice chest mostly comes in handy for when I make trips out of town and find new natural markets.
